This is part 2 of our discussion about the Depp v Heard trial, the misogyny and disinformation surrounding it, and its social and political implications. We talk about the ways in which defamation as a weapon is already being wielded by abusers and white nationalists, some of the key issues with the trial and the unequal power dynamics between the parties, the dynamics of abuse and how these have been lost in the noise, and the ableism and queerphobia perpetuated throughout the proceedings.
